What ever it is there must be a good used one around, lately it seems that it gets way too expensive to repair anything most of the time.
Like SGI says, you drove down here with used parts in your vehicle.....
Leave it to me to find the rarest of trannies that was put in these trucks. It is a 4 spd with overdrive, which makes it rare as there were only a few of this type that were put into 77 & 78's. So far only one guy that I have talked too was familiar with these trannies. I have three wreckers looking right now so I am hoping something will come up. I need a new shaft and bearings for my old tranny so I am going to look into getting it fixed and see what kinda cost that will involve. Hopefully it is not to scary.

One way to look at it Colin, is if you get the tranny rebuilt, chances are you will never have to do it again. If you arent going to get rid of the truck anytime soon it might be worth it.

I am considering that option to. I have two trannies to work from so it may not be to bad to get done, just have to find someone to do it.

Is adult refreshments, sauce, malt or hops better choice of terms?
