My truck was dragged...

How does it drive now, next call the police so there is a report filed, then take to a ford dealer, and see if anything is damaged, if it is see if the insurance will pay for it, I would think so since it would be considered vandalism. Next are there any duramax's or cummins guys in the parking lot that would do such a thing.

Think linear from the tires to the driveline/transfercase/tranmission. Tires, do they have bald spots (not likely in dirt)? Brakes, were they set and if so what would be damaged by what would otherwise be similar to braking hard and locking them up for 30 feet (probably nothing). Are the e-brakes engaged with a smaller pad that might be damaged? If the brakes weren't set your driveline would turn, right, etc., etc.
I don't think anything would be damaged, and if you don't have problems that you see relatively quickly I think it'd be alright.

It drives o.k. after the fact. A quick blast up to 60 didn't break anything loose.
It was parked, w/o the parking brake set, in 2wd, not running. It was pulled backwards. You could see in the caliche where the wheels were dragged. Someone hooked a chain to the back of the receiver and had their way with it. You can see a rust spot on the spare where the chain-hook rubbed. Also some telltale scraping on one side of the hitch.
If anything was damaged, I was thinking perhaps the parking pawl in the transmission? Since the transmission wasn't under power, I didn't know if there'd be any damage to the clutchpacks or gears.

Check the parking pawl, they are not that strong.. On dirt, depending on the grade of it, the tires would have little resistance to slide across.. Was it a straight pull, if so then thats good... Less stress on jerking it side to side..
Lets go find em blaine.. Hook the rig up to it and lets just rip it apart.. Your putting what, something like 1800lbs torque down with that big rig LOL

Either they were in a hurry, or were enough of a ***khead so that they thought they were "teaching me a lesson". MOST people in this situation at other times have had the courtesy to knock on my door and ask me to move, which I will immediately do. *shrug* I don't normally park on that side of the yard anyway.
