I was actually thinking about removing the bolt, drilling it out, tapping the one end and installing a barb fitting. I think that might work. Do the auto parts sell these vent devices?
Ed, I bought mine from speedway auto. It is just a simple stand alone breather because I didn't use any of the stock fittings. Mine has a 7/16-20 thread. $9.95

Well, I checked my local auto parts and they don't carry these venting devices. So, I did the next best thing and made my own. I removed the bolt which was holding the brake "Y" onto the rear end. Drilled the center out .250" and drilled the head of the bolt and tapped it to fit a barb fitting. Put that on with some loctite and connected a hose. Haven't driven it yet, but it will definitely breathe now.... Thanks so much everyone. Wouldn't of known about this without your help.
Ed
BTW- Thanks Wayne for the info. Actually mine was a 3/8 24 thread going into the rearend. The one you mentioned may not work. Thanks anyways.
Well bobby don't feel alone I'll be under my truck tomorrow as well. good thing I have it up in the air already. I was installing my emergency brake cables tomorrow anyway so mucho grass guys for the heads up.
