any other suggestions for a cam?? i want a nice lope at idle, but not sacrifice daily driver status, decent power throughout the range. it'll be matched with long tube headers, performance carb and intake(not chosen yet) and that's about it... thanks for your thoughts!!

Get your carb and intake nailed down and you could go to a custom cam grinder with that info. The cost is a little more, but it takes the guess work out of choosing a cam that will work well with your combo.
That cam will have a real good lope at idle, bit too much for a daily driver and if your running an automatic you should think about a higher stall converter. I would run a rpm intake with a 600vs holley and do some port work if your running stock heads......
take a look at the 270H cam by Comp, I'm running the 270S and I love it, has a nice lope and it pulls right off idle.
All depends what you wont from your truck, gears, transmission, tire size etc. Like Blurry94 said.... call a cam grinder with all the specs see what they say.....
"Cam can be Melling, Clevite. Timing is Comp or Cloyes. Retainers are Falcon. Locks are Pioneer. Gaskets are Fel Pro or Victor. Lube is Permatex, Crane, or Comp. Lifters are Federal Mogul or Falcon."
Looks like you could order six of them and get six different kits...
