Cool Drag Racing

hey guys got a question kinda different then normal. so im leaving a football game and my buddy says that his 01 cummins with a chip will eat my truck a live so we decide to drag race and there is car way back down the road and i dont think anything of it...well little did i know that i was a sheriff. He pulled us both over and wrote us dragracing tickets. Im pretty pissed about that. Does anyone know the fines or points for the ticket. Also i would have killed him abd my truck kept shutting off because of my tw chip i think it had a bad connection or sumtin?

Usually those are in the same class as reckless driving. Not gonna be pretty at all! I would start saving up now! maybe sell that Edge to help cover the cost. I would bet it will be close to $200 plus a few points.

arround here if you show up for court most of the time they will reduce it to the minimum fine (99.50 last time i went) and it wont go on your record. i made the mistake of just paying a ticket (creating a nussance with an auto) one time insted of going to court. it went on my record and my insurance shot up.

Been there, done that bud! Sorry to hear you got busted. Maybe you should invest some money into a quality radar detector unit. My radar has saved me a pretty penny or two in my drag racin career. Best of luck

I would get a lawyer and fight it. Your insurance rates are going to go up for many years to come. The money you pay the lawyer will be offset in the insurance savings. IIRC your in St clair county, MI, right? Did you get the ticket in SCC? Hope not. Marine city or Port huron are kangaroo courts, they're a joke, don't ask how I know. If you get the wrong judge you be very sorry you showed up without a lawyer.
