i removed the heads from my 390 (need new head gusket)
and the numbers on one is C8AE-H and on the other is
D2TEA4 id it normal?
the number on the Intek man. is D3TE9425AIA
can any of this numbers tell from what year the motor is?

It's most likely D2TE-AA and C8AE-H C8 corresponds to the 1968 casting year, but I had them on my 72 360. D2TE-AA corresponds to 1972 so it's somewhere between 1968 and 1976 but the intake manifold is a 1973 casting, (starts with D3) D2TE-AA's as far as I know were used to finish off the FE series in pickups, so my guess is you have something after 1973 and a previous owner had a head go bad and replaced it with a different head, but both the C8AE-H and the D2TE-AA appear to be the same head just different castings, I've heard the D2TE-AA was used with hardened exhaust valve seats for use with unleaded fuels
