390 Heads.

It's most likely D2TE-AA and C8AE-H C8 corresponds to the 1968 casting year, but I had them on my 72 360. D2TE-AA corresponds to 1972 so it's somewhere between 1968 and 1976 but the intake manifold is a 1973 casting, (starts with D3) D2TE-AA's as far as I know were used to finish off the FE series in pickups, so my guess is you have something after 1973 and a previous owner had a head go bad and replaced it with a different head, but both the C8AE-H and the D2TE-AA appear to be the same head just different castings, I've heard the D2TE-AA was used with hardened exhaust valve seats for use with unleaded fuels

Thanks, the truck is a 73 truck.
i just picked up the heads from the shop, they
installed the hardened seats on the heads.
is the 360 and 390 motors used the same heads?

390 Heads.

I've pulled D2TE-AA heads from both a 360 and a 390 and the C8AE-H heads were on my original 360 and they were also used on 390 GT heads
