would an old 2 barrel holley from my 53 work? its a 94 holley 2 barrel. as im putting on 2 new ones this winter i wont need the old one and i already have a carb kit for it just not in it lol
Well, I pulled the 302 and 240 and swapped motor mount perches.
I got a flywheel, thanks anyway for the offer... I sucked it up and bought a new one, also bought a new 11" clutch kit since the 10" wouldn't bolt to the V8 flywheel.
The only part missing from the puzzle is a clutch pivot ball for the 302, the theads for the 6's pivot are too big.... if I can't find one I guess I'll have to tap bigger thread in the 302. Anyone got one of these?
Didn't want to post any untill it was running and the hood put back on. Nobody will believe I only paid $1000 for this girl.... no rust and only minor dings....
I may post a few "under construction" pics, since your all so eager.
I had a few nibbles untill I decided I wanted to keep the motor I figured I put a lot of money into it to let it go for cheap just to sell the truck.
I'll sell the '72 dirt cheap now as I said before... including the I6, as it does run good. The '66 will be my daily driver... and living in Martensville, I wouldn't want the I6 for highway driving every day... and the 302 can rev to keep up with traffic.
rear end is what most what dectates how fast you can keep up with traffic, most inline 6 motors from the sixties usually came with something stupid like 4.10, however most inline sixies will handle a more friendly rear end, 3.25 etc.
Yep, the seller definately got the shaft..... he had it on Kijiji for about two hours untill he got fed up... he got something like 20 calls, lucky for me I was the first caller and he was out of the house for the other 19
You should always wonder if something is up when that type of volume is generated. After the title was mine and the cash forked over he got multiple sight unseen offers, up to three times what I paid... yay for me...
Now, just gotta sell the '28 Hudson, '72 F100, and '63 Galaxie less driveline.
