EGT gauge

i put in a EGT gauge, boost gauge, and trans temp gauge...i've noticed a little rattle when i hit higher rpm's. Is this because of the gauge or the fact that i have it clamped. It is tight and i made a washer out of high temp gasket that helped a little. Has anyone else noticed this...i figure its normal because i now have a sensor chillin in the middle of the pipe...

No rattle from mine, but it's not clamped. Can you feel any movement if you wiggle the sensor?

its tight...doesn't move

does your's still sound like it did before, or did it change a little bit.

There was no change in sound when I put mine in, but I drilled and tapped mine. Are you sure it's the EGT probe that's rattling?

maybe the transmission one is loose...it is def one of the gauges. I hooked them up a week before i got the tuner. I noticed a little rattle, but with the more ponies under the hood i hear it clearer. i'm gonna check the port on the tranny.

you didnt bend a heat shield out of the way or some thing did you?? a sensor wouldnt rattle like that... i would check heat shields going along the exhaust from front to back...
