I may get flamed for this but oh well.

Your name is your heritage, which is one of the few things that can never be taken from you.

So I say keep the original and to hell with the natives.

If everyone had adapted their names to fit in, we'd all have names like Running Buffalo.

i dont think i could shorten my kids last name at all,like some one said thats heritage and should be kept. heres one Tim will get a laff from my grandpa's name was Hermanubertal thank god my folks shortened in to Bert before they named me.its been tradition in my famaly to name the first boy after both grandads with the fathers dads name first
