Blue Smoke, Not Sure.
I'm not sure if I understand correctly when someone says that they are having blue smoke problems and what the causes might be. So when I drive during the day I don't really notice much, but last night I took notice that there is a considerable exhaust at night, but not during the day. Is this the "blue smoke" that I keep hearing about, and isn't so visible during the day? Thanks in advance for all replies.

I was confused about blue smoke in a diesel too, I thought I was burning excessive amounts of oil, but it didn't show that when I check it. The blue smoke I had smelled real stong of diesel fuel to the point it almost made eyes water. I got a new IP and fine tuned and now no blue smoke. Weird, blue smoke on gas engine is worn out engine, on diesel not neccesarily.
