I have not been able to find a source for the spring clips that are used to attach the stainless molding to the hood and dash of my 51 F-1. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks much.
One of the places to try other than the usual old truck parts suppliers might be Napa.
One place to try is MAC's Antique Auto Parts: http://www.macsautoparts.com/
Can't remember who it was, here at work, but my latest catalog from someone has the authentic type. I'll look when I get home or tomorrow. Jumped right out at me, as I have exactly ONE of the originals, and these look identical.
I would like to thank all of you that responded. I have sent an email to one of the recommended suppliers but have not yet recieved a response. I believe that there are 3 different designs required. I have one of the originals that hold on the dash trim and one that holds on the wide center piece for each side of the hood. I think a third style is required for the thinner 2 strips that parrallel the wide center strip but I am not sure. My truck is the custom cab that has some extra trim including a stainless trim around the windshield rubber seal. I will try to remember to update this thread when and if I get the true skinny.
