Hi guys. I have a 1991 f150 with power windows. The driver side window was working on and off for a few weeks but now it is stuck all the way down. Any ideas? Thanks a million...

Ya gotta take off the panel, -punch a hole in the plastic, and push it up by hand,-depending on the problem, (Bad switch,or Blown gear)- if the gear is gone, its an overhaul job that requires you to drill out the rivets and pull the entire assembly out, disconnect the actuator from the motor, unbolt the gear plate, pull out the blown gear, and chunks sometimes, regrease it bolt it back together.-the gear costs $19.00 at autozone/advanced
replacing the assembly and using hardened bolts and wax nuts to replace the rivets you drilled out.
If its the switch, try using the one that operates the passsenger side window, if you unplug the passenger side,( it will stay up,as long as its allready up). -until you can replace the drivers side, it will fit in the plug, but you may have to dangle it,
If Niether is the case, get it to come up by hand, and duct tape it from the inside..good luck.
Stripped gear kit (D0AZ-62234A24-B) available from Ford and parts stores. There are two different kits. You want the LATE kit.
Bad motor.
The plastic window roller has broken. This part has a threaded metal swivel stud which bolts into the end of the regulator arm, the roller portion fits into the window channel that bolts to the glass. The roller tends to break where the stud attaches to the plastic portion of the roller. When the roller breaks, window falls into door.
Bad window channel. Originals were made from plastic, and became brittle over time, which causes them to crack. If there's a metal window channel there now, the plastic type was replaced at some time.
