Need a lil bit of info here guys..
Just purchased a 1997 f-150 4X4 with the lariat package.
Truck is sweet but I'm wondering about maximum tire height without any mods (lift kits, etc..). Currently running 265/70R17 tires (appx. 31/10.5). Was wondering if 33/12.5 tires will fit without rubbing??
Other than tires my only performance mods will probably be Cat-forward header system, Cat-back duals to the rear, K&N air filter and maybe a B&M transpak. May also go with a cobra style hood with cold air induction when money allows (teens are expensive to raise and I have 3 of em). This truck is my new daily driver and grocery gitter *laughing*, so it has to be reliable but still fun to drive.Appreciate any help ya'll can offer.
hey bro for about 65 bucks you can do the block the rear end and tweak the torsion bars but if completely against it the biggest i could get was a set of bf goodrich 295/75 r16
from what i understand man is that if you get 15" wheels 33's will fit but it will look to tight in the wheel well
i have a 2000 with 265/70/17 mickey thompson mtx radials that i got today
I have done some research because I am in the same situation you are with my 2000 F-150 4x4. A 275/70-17 will work for sure it is about an 1" taller and an 1" wider. A 285/70-17 might work but I have been told they might be to large. I found some different tires in these sizes at http://www.tirerack.com/
