My first big 6.0 problem

Well after never having trouble with my 04 in 52K miles and my 06 that has 53K problem free miles, well the 06 is having some trouble now.

She is smoking real bad at first start up and used to clear up, but now she just keeps smoking. Noticed a couple days ago my oil level was up a touch but last night I check it and its really full. I think I have a crankcase full of oil and diesel. So I got the oil changed this morning and setup an appointment for the 22nd.

I asked Matt and he said my injectors maybe going out. But weird thing is it uses no coolant (so that rules out the EGR & head gaskets) and it runs like a top. With that injector bad I figure it would idle rough and have problems running but it runs perfect.

Hopefully it can be fixed easy.

it only takes a little coolant to make alot of steam. usually if a injector is the culprit, the truck will be skipping on startup.

But its not using any coolant and it doesn't smell like burnt coolant. Plus the case is full of diesel.

you have a bad injector(s) probably washing past the piston rings and down into the crank case

you know the oil has diesel in it for sure? your first post you said you thought so but i was offering more info. if there is fuel in the crankcase then either an injector oring is cut or the injector is leaking internally. they are very difficult to diagnose because usually the leak is very small.

Yeah the case gets fuller on the dipstick over time. I assume its diesel or I have an oil well in my motor. haha

Yea this problem is becoming more and more common. (BOW) seems to be correct and hit it right on the nose, with the O-ring. Thats what it seems to be to me aswell. its were the Injector is seated, its the only seperation from the oil and fuel. Sucks, yea i know. But thank go for WARRENTY

I'll take her over there on Saturday and play the waiting game.

Its smoking even more now but still runs fine. I have all this stuff I want to get installed but I have to wait for a while longer.

I am trying to stay patient with her cause right now I am really really pissed off at my truck.

They got her in the shop now and they said 4 injectors were bad. I didn't figure 4 were bad cause it still ran so good but heck as long as it gets fixed right I don't care.

Should be done tomorrow. I've missed her its been a long 4 days.

I use Delo I think haha I can't remember right now.

Well I just got it back and they replaced all the injectors on the drivers side and it still smokes, he wanted me to drive it around for a couple days and see if it keeps doing it. Well it looks like she is going back in the next day or two. I marked the oil level and the coolant level and we'll see what happens in a couple days.
