I have a 360 the cam retaining plate is broke and I can't find another. Does any one know where to get one other than a junkyard? I got the block back from the machine shop they put sealed power pistons in it the number on the box is h395p it has four cut outs in the top what kind of compression ration is this going to have. I will get the casting# off the heads later.thanks Eric
bob I e-mailed you with my address. Thanks. Is the stock ring gap the same for a 360 and 352? I know the bore is differant but my shop manual covers the 352 not 360. Thanks Eric
LAST EDITED ON 11-Aug-01 AT 00:10 AM (EST)[p]I sent a message to your inbox. Is it bad to have the gap in the piston rings the same on the top and the bottom. They are with in specs toward the high end. Some are about .014 and others are about .020. I only checked four of them top and bottom. I am going to check them all tomorrow after I clean and paint the block. Thanks. Eric
I can't find it. Nor can I find the box its supposed to be in with two others and a bumch of misc. FE parts. I was certain I bought it what we moved from California. But after searching for several hours, nada.
No place else to look either. There should have been two spares, one from a 360 and another from a 428. As far as I know any plate from a 352, 360, 390, 410 or 428 will work. But I just don't have any.
I apologize for mis-leading you and stopping your search.
Thanks anyway bob. I guess I will have to check a couple of high performance shops and if they can't get it I will be looking through the wrecking yards.
