I have duel tanks on my 94 150 and for some reason recently its been eating a lot of gas, but I thik I have it figured out why.. I think someone is stealing my gas!!! I put in 45 bucks the other day and only drove roughly 10-15 miles and now its on E.
Their is no gas under the truck nor does the tanks appear to have any holes in it. Its also not going into the other tank.. well at least not that much of it. So my question is can you buy a set of locking gas caps that only require one key for both or am I stuck using two different keys?
look at the caps they shood have a key code just match them up and you should be good or go to a lock smith and have them keyed the same also a good idea if you have a loking tool box get all three keyed the same.
i think you should be able to find 2 caps. i bought drawer locks for my toolboxes. i just had to open a few packages a home depot and find 2 locks/keys that said "FH" or whatever. i would think the gas caps would be the same
Just thought that I would update this thread incase anyone else is curious. I was able to pick up a package set that had two caps and 4 keys without haivng to dig though packages gas caps to look at codes at Autozone for 18 bucks.
