The other night I was on my way home and this 1/2 ton chevy pulled up beside me and wanted to race, It was late and no cops on a good long staight stetch of interstate so I said what the heck lets try out the DP Tuner on the 80 econo setting. So I nailed it, he nailed it and my truck kicked in and bam-defueled, I was so embarressed. I could just here the guy laughing. (I don't have my OBA in yet, its on the way.) anyhow after about 2 minutes the ses went out and I pulled up along side and off we went again, this time I was more gentle with the throttle, I could hear the chey when he downshifted and I just kept pressing down, when he kicked out the ole 7.3 was still picking up speed and once ahead he could not catch back up. Don't know how fast I got to but speedometer was at 100 and I still had a good bit of pedal left.
Thanks Jody.
On the down side I guess that little race did my u joints in, Developed a horrible chattering and vibration the next day. Took the truck to the shop I use and they replaced them, said they were in bad shape, so maybe the race was a good thing, won't get stranded by a u joint anyway.

Hey Rick, My gauges will be in later this week, hope to get them on before friday as I have a trip to make to Texas this weekend.
How close are you to Alexandria? I actually live in a little community called Prospect about 20 miles north of Alex on 167.
About the tires---- fortunately the dealer( a friend of mine) I got the truck from put a brand new set of tires on the truck when I got it.

Sounds like what happened to me racing a ****our. I went out the hole full steam hit 26psi defueled in second and he walked me after that. I want a rematch now. No more defueling no more 1211 no more anything except for fuel pressure.....
