Stupid me, left my Chilton's at home so hopefully I can be steered in the right direction...
Noticed this morning that my turn signals weren't working. Got a couple of weak flashes and then dead as a doornail. The hazard switch still flashes the lights. I did notice that if I use the turn signal lever and I'm standing on the brakes, the brake lamps go out.
My LTD had a flasher unit for the turn signals and a seperate one for the hazards. Anyone know if these trucks are the same? Hopefully I can just swing out and pick up a new flasher (pleeeeeease don't be the turn signal switch).
not sure about your 90, but my 97 (same as 96), the turn signal one is in front of your knees in the fuse box. the hazard one is under the dash direclty behind it
$12 would be the expensive heavy duty one. i grabbed a couple for about $3 each. its up to you which one you want to buy. some swear by the HD ones, but i can buy several of the regular ones for that
The HD ones are usually for the guys that haul trailers. A standard flasher will have trouble with the additional load of added bulbs and flash at faster rate.
