I am not sure what would make it start leaking all over at the same time, but I would just start replacing the lines - Its a safety thing as well, if its leaking in multiple places, they are probably about done in anyway, and if you replace a few leaky ones, the next time they go, you might not be so lucky as to be parked.
Are you talking about the line that runs from the rear axle to the front along the inside of the frame rail? Do you have two tanks? I know that the front tank is close to the frame rail, so it might be a bit of a tight fit to reach up there.
Looks to me like you have a brake line rusted through. Like my 1987 did.
I replaced the line from the proportioning valve (along the frame rail) to the junction box on the real axel.
I soon had to replace all brake lines.Fix one another blows out, I wouldnt take the chance, just replace them all.

thanks all for your support. yes, the line runs inside the rail from the rear axle to the front. i have two tanks. i did find two "unions" one before the leak and the other after. my problem is, i'm just a poor bloke that can't afford to buy the tools to remove the whole line with nut wrenches and flare tools. i think that if i can find the break, cut the line and insert a tube of sort over each end in place of the cut out, for the time being i can get to work in the morning. i know it is risky but my options are limited. wish all you guys were here, i would pass the beer around.

that is not a smart or safe idea.
ride the bus.
borrow tools.
get a friend to drive you.
when the line leaks it is in usually a very weak and thin line and it would not be ok to clamp anything on there.
ask yourself this: do i see any other clamps anywhere on my brake lines?
NO!
so get with the program and fix it right.
