Here is some interesting info from Heidts web site regarding pump pressure compatibility issues if you are not going to use a Toyota pump with a toyota box. I don't know what pressures a Toyota box works best with. http://www.heidts.com/images/art2.pdf
The Toyota box works with any standard pressure pump. The only ones to avoid are the ultra high pressure used on the luxo-barges, Caddy, Lincoln, Imperial, or the low pressure pumps used on R&P steering boxes. The low pressures will work, but not give the full power assist.
I Am Building A 64 Ford F-100 With A Fat Man Mustang Ii Stub With A Power Rack. I Am Checking Out A Few Of The Threads On This Forum That Have Done A Power Steering Conversion For A Y-block. The One That I Am Interested In Is The One From Walston. Can You Tell Me What Crank Pulley You Used To Do The Conversion? I Am Getting Info That Says We Would Need To Change All Pulleys And Dampner To Make This Work. I'm Just Not Buying It. It Looks Like All We Need Is A New Crank Pulley, Power Steering Pump, And Brackets For A Truck Y-block. Am I Incorrect On My Thinking?
The power steering pump I used was actually from a Y-block, many cars had power steering. I bought it on ebay. The pulley that drives it is also from a Y-block. There are a few pulleys on ebay right now. It bolts to the dampner with two bolts. This pump provides all the power needed for the Toyota conversion. If you want to use a different pump, you just need to make brackets that will work.
I Am Looking At Those Right Now. My Plan Is To Use A Factory Y-block Power Steering Pump And Brackets, New Y-block Pulley At The Crank, And That Should Do It. It Looks Like That Is All You Did According To Your Pictures. I Do Not Plan On Using Any Toyota Conversions, Only Ford For Originality.
That ought to work. Watch out for the differences between the car water pump and the truck water pump. The truck has a 1/2" shaft and if you use the car pump the pulley's don't line up. Same with the bracket, I think the bracket that is currently on ebay is from a car, the one for the truck has an angle support (see my gallery). There are also some parts for this at Jim Mummert's Y-Block site, like the goofy bolt you need..
I Am Getting So Many Conflicting Reports As To What Are Truck Brackets And What Are Car Brackets. Some People Are Telling Me There's No Difference And Others Are Telling Me They Don't Know What I'm Talking About. Where Did You Come Up With Your Parts And Do You Have Part Numbers From Your Crank Pulley And Brackets? I Am Getting No Where Fast With This Project. You Seem To Be The Only One Out There That Understands What I'm Trying To Accomplish.
Want To Sell The Pieces Off Your Engine? Just Kidding. I Think.
Trust me I learned the hard way, I installed the pump with the wrong bracket and didn't realize it until I tried to put the belt on. The car bracket does not extend the pump far enough. It is pretty easy to tell the difference by looking at them. The pictures below show the correct one installed and the incorrect one is shown in the 2 pictures below that. I will look for a number on the correct one, the other one I sold on ebay long ago with the correct description.

Tim
I bought all the parts on ebay.
Item 150217805087 on ebay looks to be the correct pulley that bolts to the harmonic balancer (I think you called it a dampner)
