to buy goodies for our trucks. been looking over some things on ebay for the '83 and s'crew. with the dollar the way it is, there are some awesome deals there!!!
There are some deals alright. The strong dollar kicks the crap out of any business like our farm where exports are the name of the game. We have to be reactive and will take advantage, if not exploit the cross border price differences just to get some $$$ back. A cross border shopping trip for about $10000 of combine parts will take place this winter. Thats what our John Deere needs to make her all new again on the insides! Just as soon as we sell our quad, a new one will be coming from the same general direction called south of the 49th.
It`s alot more fun now watching the E-Bay prices when the Canadian $ is worth more than the US $!
Just don`t try to sell anything south of the border.
Funny how that works...
very true, ita awesome for buyers/travellers to the US, but the sellers to the US will take a beating. wonder if this will lead into a recession like in the mid '80's???
another alberta would be nasty. look at the shape some places are in right now. housing is so high you have to kill yourself to afford it, the work is slowing down majorly, and just the general attitude of many people who are saturated with money is sour... yeah, the cash while its hot is awesome, but when it falls, man does it fall hard!!!
Housing is pretty high in saskatchewan right now too. The attitude of some people here in alberta does suck, but you get that everywhere. Alberta hasnt fallen yet either, there is no slow down yet!
Saskatchewan needs to grow a little. We need to become a bit richer of a province.
true, the big money attitude will happen everywhere. growth is great, but i'd rather see a graduall growth over the evening boom. seems to be more stable.
Yeah it wouldnt be bad if sask grew a bit more not as big as alberta but like prep said we need it seems like sask is getting crazy and alberta is dying down or is it just me
