352 crossbolt?
hi, i found this old 352 with crossbolts in my neighbors garage... now that i have your attention. what was the last year the 427 block was made? also when was the switch from center oiler to side oiler made?

352 crossbolt?
Dan I think 427s were cast until '76. The version cast and sold then was a hydralic lifter side oiled block, with reinforced cylinders. Sold through the ford parts departments. The last they were sold in a new car was '68, I think. Ford started casting the block for side-oiling in '65 but some were still machined as top oilers. I think any 427 is a good one if you can find one. DF
