c6 trans no reverse
hi all
Ihave a87 f250 i loaned to a friend he did some thing to the trans it seems to engauge in reverse but will not move the truck it will engauge in drive and move the truck. he said it will not shift out of 1st gear/
truck: 87 f250,460ci,c6,2wd

Your transmisson is more than likely wore out and needs rebuilt. You can try to put a samll bottle or half bottle of brake fluid in and see if it moves. If it does your clutches or bands are wore out. You do not want to do that as a permanent fix though.

Hey, we have an old C6 laying around that only goes into reverse, you can combine them into one good transmission!
