rear view mirror removal issues????

pop it off in 30 sec
I picked up a mirror that has those 2 lights in it out of come sort of CHEBBY and want to swap out my stock one that has reflective issues right in the middle third.
OK then.
How hard can it be??
There has to be a screw in there holding it down, right?
I can't see one (with a small mirror and flashlight) or feel anything with an allen wrench, and I tried every size that would fit in the top or bottom slots!
I'm about to take a drimel to it and grind it of!
How in the frick does the damn thing come out?

And I do have an aftermarket manual and it was no help.

I guess people are replying without reading all the posts.
Unemployment does not pay enough to pay the basic bills much less pay a window shop to do anything.
I cut off the old mirror and found a sprung piece of flat metal was holding it in place and the suggestion of using a feeler gauge looks like it was right on the money.
The CHEBBY mirror for the Ford tab as if it were made for it so I did not need to remove it or re-glue it back into place.
The power is hooked up to the mirror lights and they work fine for map reading.
If only the Ford windshield would not leak and fill the CHEBBY mirror up with water in the winter!
