White smoke=Blown head gasket?

I have a 94 F-350 factory turbo and the other day diveing home from work I noticed when I got on it a little bit I would get white smoke out the tail pipe. If I get on it hard I'll still get a bit of black smoke. I work at an international dealer so i asked some guys at work and they said it sounds like a blown head gasket. Wich was one of my thoughts and it looks like I may be looseing some coolant. But I would think it would smoke more than it dose. Nobody at work is too familiar with these motors so I was woundering what you guys thought. I also put some injector cleaner/cetain booster in today and it seemed like it helped? but it was really windy and it might have been blowing it away.

White smoke can be from coolant or unburnt fuel.

If the injector cleaner helped decrease the white smoke, I would lean toward faulty or dirty injectors first.

As far as possibly loosing coolant, are you seeing low levels in the radiator, but the reservoir has coolant that is not being drawn back into the radiator when the engine cools?

No I left the resivor empty to check That and just filled the rad all the way but I need to drive it more to see if I am loosing coolant. Also I'm not sure the cleaner helped becuase it was wendy yesterday and after thinking it was gone completly I relized it was blowwing it away. But my first thought was a sticking injector but for some reson every one at work said it would be black. It also doesn't seem like its missing.

What things should I check on the injectors? Are they hardto pull apart and clean?

I had mine rebuilt at an injection service here locally.
They have all the parts and equipment to test them.

To check for a coolant leak into the cylinder, get or make a fitting to put shop air pressure into the cylinder through the glow plug hole.
Use a bit of caution, the engine will rotate the piston to BDC when you apply air pressure.
This tests the entire cylinder surface as well as the head gaskets for leaks.

Before you apply air, fill the radiator completely full and leave the cap off.
After you apply air, if you see bubbles or the radiator runs over, you have found the cylinder you have a problem in.

Good idea I'll have to see if i can try the shop air thing at work. Do you know if the glow plug holes are the same as on the T444E/7.3psd or vt365/6.0? I know we have the stuff for the 6.0 and probaly 7.3

Not sure about the Stroke glow plugs, never seen one out of the engine.
i missed part of post three when I answered above.

The normal expansion of the coolant will put coolant into the resevoir.
If it was empty, when the engine cooled it would draw air back into the radiator.

Also any air pockets in the engine that worked their way out while driving would require coolant to replace the air as it cooled.

I think it was just a sticking injector or something. I filled up today and ran more peformance service through it and it seems to have stoped.
