i have a 2002 f-350 and i am going through a quart of oil every 20 miles or so. Its not leaking or excessive smoke. In the last 2 weeks i have added roughly 20 quarts and no idea where it goes. Can anyone help me im new to the site and looking foward to what u guys think. Thanks to all that help!
so you dont have any leaks that you can find?
and no excessive smoke? that is a mistery, cause if its not dripping anywhere it has to burn in the motor,, that indicates that injector oring has failed, and you get fuel mixed with oil,
you better get to the bottom of it cause you dont want to Hydrolock the motor,
have somone do compression check you know which cylinder or cylinders are causing the problem,
byt as far as i can say its a injector oring problem,
and BTW welcome to FTE, you get as much help as you can think of here,
20qts??? My friend, IIANM, there is 3 places oil can go. Leak, external and visible. Burning it during combustion and therefore smoke, visible. Or into coolant via injector cups and also visible in the coolant but 20qts? It should have overflowed that by now. Check your coolant first and post back.
Edit: Oh, among the three or third, I should have just said via the injectors like Pete mentioned. It could also be getting into the fuel rail there. That would probably result in oil in the filter bowl at that loss rate.

20 qrts, in 2 weeks????????? You will see the sign, hard to believe. You should see smoke, or something else filling up. What is sxcessive smoke? Does it smoke all the time?
there is light smoke when i first start it but it quits when the engine is warm. Nothing in my coolant thats good. It does start kind of hard like it is cold out side. So that might be the o ring? thanks to all!
