Identifing ford engine size

I have a motor and trans. It came from a Lincoln town car. There is a date code on the left valve cover. It may have been a 94 model. How can I identify this motor? What are my options on using this motor in a street rod. What modifications can be made to it?

It's very likely a 5.0, may be a HO, may be just a plane jane model. Pull the cover plate off the top of the intake near the throttle body, if the letters H. O. are cast into the valley underneath somewhere you probably have the HO motor. Further identification can be obtained with the block and head casting numbers. The block casting numbers are located at the lower rear area near the oil pan surface. The head casting numbers are on the deck surface side, you have to remove the intake and use a mirror to see them.

in a '94 it could be a 4.6 as well.
