Maybe the swap file got corrupt when it was copied.

You can try recopying the drive. Maybe that will work.

What drive you using (Maxtor/Seagate)?

Are you having problems with the 4 GB drive?

If not why not leave that as the boot drive and add the new one as a slave?

Assuming 2000 works close to how NT works.

Go to CMD, type RDISK.

Then copy the files.

Then boot 2000 into plain VGA mode and restore your settings or go to disk administrator and set up the new drive.

The problem might be is that the copy utility can not copy of the system security files.

fwiw: page file is not a swap file.

I would try contacting Maxtor.. You should be able to get free tech support for their software.

Next you could try another program to copy the drive, like Norton Ghost..

This will create an image file that you can then restore on the new drive.

Are you getting a blue screen stop error?
