208 linkage question!!
I swapped out my bad 208 last night for a good 208 transfer case. Anyway, I hooked my 4wd linkage back up, but now when the shifter in the cab is in 2wd position the transfer case is in nuetral, and when I pull the shifter all the way down (where LOW is supposed to be) it's still only in "HI" range. I must have not aligned the little rectangular tit on the transfer case up properly to the rectangular notch on the shifing arm right?. My 4x4 works now, but my 4wd shifter inside my cab is all wrong. How do I fix for sure?...I'm thinking to undo the linkage, manually shift the transfer case into 2 HI with some channel locks and then push my shifter (in cab) into 2 HI and then re-attach. Sound good?.
