trans fluid ?
i'm rebuilding a c6 for a 75 or 76 4x4. what fluid should i use in it? the whole system will be clean. flushed torque converter, etc. what is the difference between type F and mercon III? thanks

The fluid relates to the friction material used in the overhaul. Which clutch plates used in the overhaul would determine which oil to use. I would try to use late model plates and use mercon/dexron for the fluid.
