I just got my first truck and it is in pieces from the P.O. and need to know how the carb goes on. It is a 2v. I have two gaskets, one insulator. and one cast aluminum spacer. the spacer has what to be a vacume nipple on what looks to be the back side looks like it should point to the back of the truck and on the passanger side it has a water inlet pointing to the back and one to the front. is this the way it should be? and where should the insulator be. can i Just get a die from a tap and die set and pull the threads down further so I can eliminate the spacer. It will be used for truck pulling. I dont have enough to afford a 4V setup yet. sorry about the poor description thanx in advance.
The spacer goes on just like you said, vacuum nipple towards the back and the water ports on the passenger side. You should use only gaskets on the top and bottom of the spacer with no insulator. I think you will have some problems with carburetor binding if you run without the spacer. Check it out first.
