After reading the tsb's my symptoms look to be exact to the erattic high pressure oil supply issues. The tsb states that the check valve on the injectors that are failing should be replaced. That sound right?
I have a 2006 F350 with 30,000 miles. All dealer maintained. Ran 2 miles to WalMart the other day, was in the store 15 minutes, came back out. Didn't want to start, tried again, started but barely running, tried the gas, nothing, just barely running. No warning lights came on, nothing. If my 98 F150 even hicupped the engine warning light would come on! Did this 3 more times, called them to get it, sat in dealer 3 days, nothing shows on diagnosics so sent me home. Running fine now but when will it do it again?!!! Sounds very similar to your problem. I've also noticed a slight hesitation when taking off from a stop and then it takes off. Hasn't done anything since picking it up from the dealer. Running great. Let us know what you hear!

Didn't see that you had replied. Did you get it repaired? If so, what did they do?
well i have had the same problem low power till about 1800 rpm or so and hard or no starting as today 2 hrs no start and 500 rpm starts , then it started after about 2 hrs it goes to the dealer monda i hope that the tsb 06-14-06 workd for me
he can tell you till he is blue in the face that it will cost you money. but here are the simple facts.
you own a vehicle that is under warranty. your vehicle is not functioning properly. you have a right to have it fixed under warranty. if they cannot replicate the problem, then you will take it to a dealer who knows more about the vehicle, but you will NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES pay one red cent out of your pocket for their inadequacies to find/resolve your problem.
i was thinking the same thing. i wont how many peeps been burned by this yitz.
Yes, it is Wal-Mart's fault!LOL! At least parking way out away from everyone (only way to keep the idiots from your bumpers!) worked out well for the tow truck! No, I have no mods, strictly factory and all maintainence is done by the book. It's still running great. Just a real pain to think that it was towed 40 miles to the dealer and for nothing. Same thing with my climate control. It has refused to come on 3 times. When I restart, it will come on then. Same thing; they couldn't replicate the problem so no fix for it. My son has the same year truck and his also does that. So, it's got to be something they are aware of I would think. I will keep reading so I am fully armed when all this happens again. Thanks for a great site!
Well Heard From The Dealer , They Say That I Must Remove My Oilguard Bypass Filter, And Put Back On My Factory Exaust, I Have A Banks 4 Inch With The Cat Left In Place, Before They Can Fix The Problem That They Believe Is The High Pressure Oil System Causing The Hard Start And Not Starting, They Also Said If Ford Caught Them Working On A Truck That Was Altered Or Modified That They Would Red Flag The Truck And It Would Have The Warrante Voided, Never Thought Better Oil Filtration Could Void A Warrante, So What Do You All Think Of This One? Might Just Say Screw It And Find A Good Diesel Shop And Have It Done My Self

Was talking to a friend the other day about how there just aren't that many dealers with an actual tech in the shop (that's someone with ability to diagnose a problem). If the computer doesn't say it's bad, it must not be.

I always thought installing an A/M exhaust system would only void the exhaust system warranty.
how does this affect any unrelated issue?
or has this issue been hashed already?
bottom line is this jerkweed is trying the old dealer trick of not wanting to fix the truck on fords dime and get you to pay for it because they can make money of of you than ford.
pay for a tow down the road if you ask me. cost you less in the long run.

well they said that if ford came by and saw any after market mods on the truck that they would flag the truck and void all warranty's and this dealer is a very good friend of mine we grew up together, so i know he is telling me the truth, he daid that ford is really cracking down on it , hell i really dont want to put the stock exaust on but i may have to
Hey guys, sorry for the late update but I have been in Arizona on vacation for the past week. Anyway got the truck back and the problem ending up being my fuel pump, and two injectors. Ford fixed it at no charge because they had to re-flash the truck and the dealer got that to fall under the emissions warranty portion of the 100,000 mile warrwanty which requires no deductible.
As far as what I am reading here for the other guys my only suggestion is go somewhere else. Our dealer here is one of the largeest Ford dealers in the US and they do enough business to turn away modded trucks, but they don't. The reason is that these mods most of the time are not causing these problems. Ford knows it, we know it, and they know it. Go to a dealer that has five star status. Five star rated dealers in my experience carry the better techs and better service writers.
