i figured that since i have the cab marker lights that the back end of the truck was lacking, so i decided to install these. had to cut the plug off and extend the wires and splice into the license plate lights to get them to come on when the parking lights are on. i like the look.
They look good. I kinda like them better than LED's because the led only look cool till one burns out, or gets bumped out of alignment with the others.
Very nice! I have been thinking about doing that to mine as well. How easy were they to wire up, and mount so they were straight and centered?
EDIT: It just dawned on me that there are two holes at the end of the bed under the tailgate, and I bet those are to mount those lights, am I right? Also, you just tapped into the license plate lights to get your power? Final question, where did you get them from? Ford? Thanks!

I've been looking on some OEM Parts Websites, and it looks like it runs $35 to $40 for the light bar and mounting bracket and everything. Does that sound about right if I get it from the dealership?
Just got back from the stealer, I mean dealership...they wanted $68 + tax for those lights. MSRP (According to directfordparts.com) is $49.38. Whats the deal with the almost $20.00 mark-up?
nhill.....how are they quality of the lights you got? Do they seem to be durable? I see they claim they are waterproof, have you tested that yet?
