intercooler

well, my fall/winter project is in the works. now im on the hunt to either buy a used ic kit or put together my own with a 6.0 intercooler. the difficulty is finding the pipes and spyder! ebay is tapped out right now. i was thinking if i could get the angles and runs, i could have the pipes mandrel bent by a buddy with a mandrel bender, anyone have this info? then the only problem would be finding an early 99 intake spyder, or biting the bullet and buying that banks twin ram deal (which seems pretty nice, although pricy). i really dont want to spend millions with banks (and by millions i mean over 500 dollars). im attempting to be cost effective since i have to put a new clutch in in the spring (thinking twin disk, but possibly a valair). per usual, any and all input welcomed and appreciated.

I would recomend South bends con ofe clutch they say it will hold 450hp. Its a little grabby but it does hold the power. Before with my con-o I would try to mash the gas and brakes for a burnout and I would smell what I thought was my brakes...... it was the clutch lol. It spins the tires now

Oh and the intercooler I would recomend (click here) about $600 then a 6.0 ic off ebay for $150-200.

thanks for the link foreman. would a 7.3 intercooler work with this kit?? the reason i ask is that there are two on ebay right now for 130 each! shipped for under 200.

i beleive the banks kit was designed for the 7.3 cooler, but it will work with the 6.0 as well, either way i beleive there is smoe modding required as even the 7.3 cooler requires triming of the pipes

With the banks pipes there isnt any trimming. One member did it because it didnt clear his RSK lift kit. Both the 7.3 and 6.0 coolers will bolt right up but you have to cut out some of the radiator support for the pipes to go through. I would go with the 6.0 cooler cuz its about 30% bigger and the 7.3 guys upstairs usually upgrade to it as a cheaper route for 50-100* cooler egts.
