Very nice looking truck. I also wouldnt get a diesel 2x4 unless it was a dually for towing a trailer on the highway.

Sherm have you driven one of those IDI's with an automatic? 175 hp minus parasitic losses doesn't leave much grunt.

That truck is much like the '86 we had on the farm, except for the color and ours was a four on the floor.

i haven't drove one at all nathan. they'd have loads of torque though wouldn't they??

Looks very nice, a lot simpler under the hood than my 05 PSD, about the same as the 92/7.3
I wouldn`t worry about the grunt, it would do fine unless you`re in a big hurry constantly. There`s lots in 2-3 ton delivery trucks still running around.
It rattles, smokes and knocks away. Man I love a diesel for that!

actually there isn't plenty out there for sale. they are good trucks and guys don't want to part with them. why should they??

No biggie Sherm, I get attached to every Ford/Mercury I own, just can`t keep `em all!
There`s always a time to move on, unless it`s one of my oldies and even then.....
