Well for all those that said it wasn't possible to run the truck without a DPF removal tuning strategy, I hate to say it but you were right. My truck went into regen mode now for the first time since I removed the DPF after 5k miles on the straight pipe system and it is now stuck in regen mode. Looks like im gonna have to get my custom tunes from Spartan sooner then expected.
Dumb question, but could you just unhook the batteries overnight to reset the computer and be good for another 5000?
Its all been tried by others, the problem is that the temperature sensors that monitor the regeneration process are not getting hot enough to shut it off.
Have to say it was only a matter of time, this is irrevelent to this but that is the same similar problem i had with the AFE stage II intake. The intake would not show a reading on the restrection gauge, were the computer was looking for a small amount of restrection from the stock filter, so the computer would throw a code thinking their was a problem, this issue also caused the truck to go into regen alot.
These trucks dont like changes. Goog luck with the tunes!

How how does it have to get? Maybe pull the sensor/s and then hit it/them with a propane or oxy torch while it is in regen. Worth a try.

Yes, reportedly around 700 degrees and thats been tried also, works for a too short amount of time. Basically there is no way around it, you need a tuner that shuts off the regenerations if you are going to remove the DPF.
Sorry I lied - I didn't read that the Regen is disabled durring PTO use in my brochure but rather I read it online from Ford's 6.4L Power Stroke Diesel Maintenance Overview video.
