Just bought a 2006 f350 going to be putting a leveling kit on the truck wondering wht everyone is running? How hard was it to install and where didi you get it at, thanks Aaron.
Did you buy Gas or Oil..I bought a set of springs and they are two stiff for my V10..gonna sell them..Im sure they would go alot better on a heavier truck..
I'm going to be running the Donahoe Racing leveling kit.
It's 2.5" of lift using progressive rate coils springs. So, the initial travel has a softer spring rate than stock.
It also includes alignment cams, and DR sig. series shocks which are valved specifically for the SD.
Hey, Bronco. You put these on your 05? I bought a set as well (arrived today) but now I'm leary about installing them. While I was waiting on them, I continued an extensive search through old threads on leveling kits. Lots of great info.
I found a post many weeks ago from a guy that said they made his coils appear to lean forward(??). Do you see that? Also, did you get back to spec on alignment without cams? Is your front axle offset? Steering centered?
I know this is an old and well thrashed out topic so please forgive the repeated questions.
~thx
Yes, I put them on my 05 a couple weeks ago. Yes, the spring do appear to "lean fwd" at the top but not really noticeable til you mentioned it lol. That is to be expected as the kit brings the axle down and back from stock. I have had no issues with alignment/caster etc, I guess its not enough to make a difference. The axle will also be slightly moved to the drivers side but again is not noticeable unless you look for it. It took me about 2 hours to install and there were no surprises. You may have to gently massage the brake lines and brackets for clearance and remember to raise or lower both sides equally-ish regardless of which side your doing or the trackbar will hamper axle movement. Lastly, for the first few days I noticed a springy clunking when turning as the springs found equilibrium in thier mounts (not since) and I have to re-align my headlights. I put some pics in my gallery. one is before and one is after.
P.S the stock shocks still fit fine but I ordered some bilsteins to match the 2" levelling kit since I need new ones anyway.
cheers

Thanks for the quick reply and the info. Ya gotta nice ride.
BTW, for those of you wondering if Bilstein 5100s are still on back order, Shockwarehouse sent me an update on my order status yesterday. "Shipped" only two days after initial order placed. Should arrive about the same time as the Firestone rear airbags.
