I payed a hundred for mine but I got mine frome some an online store that was going out of bussiness. Check out this link. It will tell you how they work quicker than I can.

I'd recommend an Eaton LSD (limited slip) for an 8.8; they are far better than a stock LSD and they're rebuildable. I ran an Auburn LSD for several years and when it went, there was nothing left to salvage. The Eaton I installed is a stout piece and has worked well thus far. The carrier in the backround is the Auburn I pulled out.

With the powertrax system, i heard it replaces the spider gears. is this true? My other question pertaining to the powertrax is that with this istalled would i still have my 3.55 gearing?

Gearing is not changed with any of these options. Only changing the ring and pinion changes the gearing, unless you have a Halibrand quick-change axle, and you don't.
