Talking Getting Away

This last month has been a B**** and we're getting away this weekend.

We're going to pull a 26 footer from Ft. Knox to Grayson Lake State Park on Friday and back on Monday and I can't freaking wait. 3 days of golf, hiking, and biking and NO FREAKING COMPUTERS/BOSSES/CELL PHONES...etc.

I can't concentrate...I keep surfing looking at campsites, biking gear...anything but work.

Anyway, just had to share.

I know that feeling. Between work, finishing the baby's room (baby's do in 2 weeks), moving my gf's stuff in, my mom's illness and subsequent death. I just have a to do list til NEXT november. So this last weekend I said the hell with it. Took the 5er up to maine after work thursday night, set it up friday morning. called out of work friday. Came home and got the quad, the gf, and some other things and went up for the weekend.

We weren't at an actual campsite, but the gf's brother has a cabin up there and was having a big homecoming party/pig roast. Him, his buddy, and his gf just got back from a tour in Iraq last month. Good people, good riding, good food, good campfire, and a cold keg on ice. doesn't get much better than that.

Have a good time Ironhorse and remember to find a couple hours to relax too.
