2002 Steering Problems

02 v10 4x4 replaced ball joints both sides tie rods stabilizer tires/brakes/rotors steering to me seems a little sloppy. has 175000 miles i was thinking about the steering box but not sure. any ideers thanks

With the search feature not working now, you can't find the fix. But there is a steering box fix out there. Somebody familiar with this fix will chime in shortly and answer your question I'm sure.

I remeber reading a thread a while back and a guy was talking about adjusting your steering box? Do u think that is what he needs to do?

If it still feels sloppy, then repeat the described procedure except adjust in 1/4 turn increments until you are happy. Initially I adjusted mine too tight even though I had no binding. When I drove it I fought it all the time. I was constantly moving the steering wheel and that is a PITA. I adjusted the allen bolt CCW until I was happy. All steering boxes need a little slop or you will fight it as I did.
