had a good weekend!

good weekend , yep . attended the mother road cruise with bessie . found a few naysayers , but to heck with them as i , the better half and ol' bessie had a great time. oh and before i ramble on , no pictures again . every time i touch that digital camera i mess it up , gotta get it fixed again or a new one . any way most folks seemed to like the old girl honestly and the lil' ones i seen { not enough of them if you ask me } really liked her . i also managed to score a factory mirror at the swap meet for $1.00 . for the most part i and a few others i know who were there with rougher looking vehicles were well accepted by all and it was a pleasant experience . no trophies and i wouldn't know anyhow's as i had to go back to work sunday when the awards were handed out and you had to be present to get it if you had one . i wasn't there for that anyway . i'm not for sure but while i was at work saturday afternoon , { split shift }, my wife spoke to a writer from one of the " rat rod magazines " as she put it as he stopped and was talking to her due to it being what it is and the flatty , and lo and behold he's doing an article on barn finds .well besides all the fun of once again being part of the " scene " and the cruise through town friday night , which was as usual a blast , i ended this weekend by scoring a rear bumper and both brackets { bumper has a couple of fixable boo boo's } for $ 10.00 . i am going back to take them off of the 55 they are on { no title parting it } thursday and i'm gonna see about the tranny cover as mine has a hole in it for the floor shift , and the stock three on the tree column shift and linkage on it , amongst some other trinkets . he's considering trading my modified frame for a stocker from under this 55 or the other one that also has no title , for my 55 . well see ya's later fella's and was any of you there at the cruise ? if so why didn't you come by and poke fun of me and bessie ?

Good stuff, sounds like you there had a great weekend and that`s what counts the most.
Not enough of that happening around here and when it does it seems I`m tied up in other places doing other things.
We had afew car shows rained out this year which was too bad but we`ve had great weather years too.

It sure sounds like you had a blast. Thats what these old trucks area all about, that is why we bust our knuckles working to all hours of the night.

I had a decent weekend also, took a trailer load of stuff (mostly non Ford related) to a swap meet. Walked out with a large pocket full of cash. Now I have more space at home for Ford stuff (dont tell my wife)

Glad you had fun!
Bobby
