Hi,
I went to a junk yard and got a hitch with wiring and plug for $35 (sweet deal huh?) we bolted it on un pluged the old wiring that the last guy cut when he took the hitch off befor i got the truck, we pluged in the new wiring but when we tested it the brake/turn lights on the trailer don't work. i think the old plug was a 4 way and the new is a 7 way but the prongs are there on the trucks plug whey just don't get power. is there a fuse i need to put in to make the 7 way work or do you have any other ideas? thanks
-Jeff

4 plug should have the tail lights and brake lights working, no different than the 7 pin. the 7 pine has a brake wire, power wire, and maybe a backup lilght different. if there is no lights, look in the black box under the hood on drivers fender well. look in the owners manual for the fuses location. there are seperate fuses for the truck lights and trailer lights. last, if the truck was not setup for trailer towing, you may need to install a relay in the balck box to get power (12 volt) supply to the 7 pin connector.
