Cool An other battery light

Today after reading Lovin 7.3's thread about his battery light and charging system problems,I headed out to do some errands. From the verry second my truck started the battery light came on,and started doing the same thing.Voltage was dropping fast on my gauge.Luckily I was able to get her home b4 she died on me and left me stranded.Ain't she a good girl?! Well anyhoo,my question is,how to test the alternators individualy on a dual alternator system? Is it as easy as probing the hot wire on each alternator indivdualy?Or can one alternator back feed the other and give a false reading?I'm hoping I don't have to take them out to find out witch one it is.The top one is cake, but the bottom.....I couln't see anything way down there, and I haven't crawled under her yet to take a look,I'm sure it will be a fun one.Right now her cables are disconnected and she's getting a full charge b4 I test.Thanx for the help FTE.

You should be able to test the output on each alternator individually, or take it to an auto parts store that can test them for free without having to remove them.
