4R44E/4R55E Transimission shift and code lights
My daughters 1999 Ford Ranger with 2.5-4 cyl and 4r44e/4r55e has had a problem with extension housing and bushing burn out, but I fix it with new tail piece and york; and new u-joints. After this I had codes of P1747, P0743, P0750, P0755, P0760 and emission codes. I change both o2 sensers but no luck. Now to the transmission. I did the upgrade that fordboy_52 with no help so I rebuilt the transimision and a rebuilt valve body which I have taking back so they could check it and it is fine. I replaced both intermeniate and OD servos and still not luck at getting 2nd gear and will not shift up or down. Yes I have adjusted the bands. I have tried 1 1/2, 2.0, 2.5 does not make any difference. I want some to tell me what the hell is wrong with these transmission. If you do not know anything about them please do not answer I am confuss enough. I can not afford to take it to a shop they want 2000 to 2800. Please some one know something out there. Yes I have check all wires to make sure no short. My daughter wants her truck back some time before she is to old to drive.
Thank You

that covers a whole range of information.
If you do not have it, get the book from atsgmiami.com - well worth it to KNOW how to put it together, and know what symptoms point to what individual components failure.
