Another clutch problem.
84 f150 hard to shift .seems clutch not totally disengaging.
system was very soft ,replaced master ,slave and bushing on petal.
firewall has reinforcement kit. adjustment on MC rod set properly.
clutch has a little chatter when your foot is off the petal.
Clutch solidly engaging at about half petal, no slipage.
clutch only about 30000 mile old.
throw on slave clynder is .8 inch when clutch pushed down.
Anybody know the normal slave clynder extension.
also what are the symptons if a flywheel has been ground too much.
You may have to bleed more air out of the system if the pedal is weak. I fought a similar problem with my 84, the clutch wasn't disengaging fully... turned out to be a worn out throwout fork. I replaced it... works better than new
any ideal what the normal throw or range of the slave cylinder is?
I've been wondering if maybe it could be the main shaft bushings that the clutch and brake ride on.
