Simple bolt question

Could anybody please tell me what size bolt holds the Idler on a 1997 Ford F150 with a 4.6 liter V-8. The auto parts store had the Idler and gave me a 3/8" - 16 and unless the threads are screwed up, that is not the right bolt. Let me add that this idler was ripped off of it's mount and ended up on top of the intake manifold, It appears that the bearings went bye bye...

Thanks

I'm not sure of the size, but I'm sure it is metric.

it is metric. i thought 10 mm, but not certain. ----- 10mm is bigger than 3/8, 8 mm is slightly smaller.

I could send you a idler bolt in the mail if you arent in a hurry to get it finished. I would grab it off my parts truck and send it in an envelope if youd like.
