I admire both trucks. If the F-150 is half as good as it looks, whoever buys it will also have a sharp truck. To me, that was one of the prettiest years of that series.
Yeah, I still really love my 92. I sunk a bunch of money in it just two years ago, completely built the motor, added Edelbrock intake, stainless headers and exhaust, all the goodies. Makes twice the power of stock, still gets the same MPG 11-12. Will be kinda sad to see it go.
But recent events (we had TWINS !!!) made the extended cab (without rear doors) less than convenient. I really don't care too much for the new F-150's, and have always wanted a SD anyway. Just didn't seem right to buy the big dog without the diesel, lol. So told the wife we were getting a SD crew cab diesel or an Excursion. She hated the school bus, so truck it was !
Gorgeous ride. I can't wait to see some pics with that bad boy hooked up to your trailer. Make sure you post them. It's one thing to see the SD's sitting pretty, but you gotta show 'em working too.
Congrats!! BTW: Make sure you post your thoughts on the 6.0 after a little while
May be a while before I do any towing with the new rig. Here's a few pics of the old rig (actually a buddy's trailer) all hooked up. Taken just before we left for Mustang Week at Myrtle Beach last year.
