paint codes

My 65 will soon be in the body&paint shop. I would like to have it painted metalic maroon that has a nice pop to it. Anyone have any paint codes or know of any cars or trucks with a color like I'am looking for. thanks james

are you after period correct paint colors or ??? Ford did have a maroon like color as I recall...never a metallic though on these originally.

No, not looking for period correct colors. I know I've seen newer model Ford trucks& suv's with metalic maroon color but I can't remember what years they were.

are you posting this question on the later model groups here too ??? The other option would be to go down to a paint store you like and look at paint chips. Usually they will say if the color was a Ford, GM or some other mfr as well as the name the mfr calls it.

Also the paint shop should have samples and recommendations and possibly even previous customers vehicles that you can see in person.
