Egr Problem
I Have A 94 Explorer.. I Got It Running Somewhat..the Little Vaccum Diaphram On The Side Of The Intake That The Pipe Hooks Into From The Driver Side Manifold Is Hissing Reaally Loud,, Does Anyone Have Any Idea Why It Would Be Doing This?? And Will That Make It Run Poorly

vacuum leak
where would i need to look for the vacuum leak? i couldnt find any disconnected or broken hoses.it is almost like it is blowing exhaust out of the little holes in the diaphram right above where the pipe screws in..

remove the Valve and inspect, might just need the carbon cleaned, or replacement, make sure "ALL" channels and pipes are carbon free before reassembly. Test the Vacuam side with a Vpump.
