Since we are on the topic of MSD I'm changing my coil out for a new one. I was scrounging around the shop and found an MSD coil for ford . Can i use this? I'm not looking for any gains, I just stumbled upon it and was thinking I could use it to replace my old one......its an MSD ignition Blaster TFI Ford Coil.
its the last thing i have to replace in my engine compartment
after rebuilding the motor, and putting new...everything in it over last winter(i got bored with the truck and wanted to see how hard it would be to rebuild it and it was awesome!) its got all new cooling system, starting/charging system, clutch system, brake system, fuel system, pulleys, wires and so on.. but for some reason i forgot the coil

the msd number for the Ford TFI coil is 8227.
put the finishing touches on my msd installation today.Had to wait until yesterday to pick up the wiring harness. It runs great,can't really tell any big difference although I feel it does idle smoother. I only drove it about 25 miles since I put it on,so Ill have to wait to check on the gas mileage. I am going to get the msd cap and rotor for it probably tomorrow.
